The purpose of this distance learning qualification is to enable individuals to acquire the skills to support colleagues with mental health problems. The course will develop your knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions and the principles of mental health first aid and how this can be implemented in the workplace.

This is a paper-based course but all study is completed remotely.

The course consists of 3 units: exploring mental health, understand how to support individuals with mental ill-health, and understanding a mentally healthy environment.

You are provided with textbooks to support your learning and you will receive feedback and support from your tutor. The course can take as little as 3 weeks to complete and consists of one assessment book.

To complete this course you must be over 19, have lived in the EU for the past 3 years, and currently live in England.

The level 2 distance learning courses are fully funded as long as you meet the entry requirements for the course.

Please note that, upon successful completion of your course, you will receive an e-certificate by email. Printed certificates are not provided as standard.
Awarding organisations have moved away from issuing physical certificates to support environmental sustainability, reduce their carbon footprint, and make it easier to obtain a replacement certificate if required.

If you would like a printed certificate, this can be requested at a cost of £46, payable by the learner.
