To benefit most from this qualification, you must be working in an environment which follows working processes. As part of the course you will look at your working practices and consider ways to make them more effective and reduce waste; in terms of either financial, physical or time.
This nationally recognised qualification will support your professional development and is highly regarded by those in industry and look great on your CV. It shows employers you are committed to good working practices that save time and money.
On average the course takes 14 weeks to complete. Time frame depends on the time you have available and your prior knowledge.
This course is only available online. The assessments are made up of questions asking you to describe, explain, identify or list information. To be able to pass this qualification answers must be in your own words, using sentences and paragraphs.
This course consists of three units.
Unit 1 – Lean Organisation Techniques
Understand the features of a lean workplace, learn how to identify areas for improvement and explore how to map and improve business processes.
Unit 2 – Business Improvement Techniques
Learn the principles of Kaizen and continuous improvement, understand how to organise an effective workplace, use visual tools to improve efficiency and discover ways to reduce waste and improve processes.
Unit 3 – Effective Teamwork in Business
Understand what makes an effective team, learn how to work successfully with others and explore the role and responsibilities of a team leader
You must be over 19. You are asked to describe what you hope to achieve from the course during enrolment. This helps us to provide you the right advise and ensure you are on the right course and at the right level.

The level 2 distance learning courses are funded which is great news. If you are not a British Citizen you may need to complete a Fee Assessment to check funding eligibility.
Please note that, upon successful completion of your course, you will receive an e-certificate by email. Printed certificates are not provided as standard.
Awarding organisations have moved away from issuing physical certificates to support environmental sustainability, reduce their carbon footprint, and make it easier to obtain a replacement certificate if required.
If you would like a printed certificate, this can be requested at a cost of £46, payable by the learner.
Adding this qualification to your CV will enhance your promotion and employment opportunities in any sector.
We also offer a level 2 Certificate in team leading, which would complement this qualification. This is available via distance learning.
