Studying Mental Health through T Levels

“I’m not very academic so the amount of practical experience and practical placements involved in the T Level course appealed to me. I’ve always been interested in the caring industry and have done a lot of research into mental health.

“My placement was with a primary school special unit where I got to do 1:1s with the children. That experience, combined with the Oxford Medical Simulation (OMS) which simulated the practical side of the hospital environment, really helped me with 1:1 diagnosis.

“I’m now heading into employment with the New Lubbesthorpe primary school where I’ll be working on a 1:1 basis with a boy with autism.”

“I had a wobble with my exams but the College really supported me.”

“I’d recommend the course – it gives you what you need to get a job afterwards.”
