Aspiring legal professional paves the way with T levels 

Ciara Creighton is currently completing her T level Legal course at Leicester College. After briefly exploring legal topics during her GCSE business course, she was eager to pursue a more in-depth study of the field.

Benefits of work experience

Ciara says: “Looking at the Leicester College website, the T level offers more work experience than exams, which is more beneficial.

“The course has a range of different topics and although it has been challenging, it is also interesting, as I am learning new things that I have not learned before.

“As part of the course, we have been on a couple of trips. The court visit particularly stood out for me.”

“I highly recommend T levels at Leicester College as they are the only ones who offer this course, which is the best T level that I saw,” continues Ciara.

“I believe that I am coming out with valuable experience and the work experience you gain from it is so important, as that is what employers look for.”

Next steps

When thinking about the future, Ciara adds: “I would like to stay in the legal sector. I am hoping for an apprenticeship and to gain more work experience at a local solicitors, as they offer more opportunities for hands-on learning and exposure to diverse legal cases.”
