Maintenance Apprentice - Pukka Pies Ltd

Working for the nations favourite pie company, you will gain the skills and knowledge needed to cover all aspects for site maintenance. You will join a small friendly team of skilled and experienced engineers who will support your development.

Monday- Friday 06:00 till 14.30pm 9.30 till 18.00pm

What will the apprentice be doing?

This is a very varied role and involves working on:

• food processing equipment (pressure cooking vessels, mixers, pastry laminators, pie machines, ovens, automated packing lines etc.)

• responsible for the building fabric, including facilities and site services (refrigeration, steam boilers, air compressors, hot and cold-water systems)

• carry out repairs (reactive works) and preventive maintenance

• also involved with the installation of new equipment and project improvement work. This includes modifications to optimise performance, improve efficiency and methods of operation, increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

  An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

• English (grade 4 or equivalent)

• Maths (grade 4 or equivalent)
