Manual & CNC milling & turning producing 1 off’s and batch work components on modern equipment within a small family run engineering company. We have a small, close team to guide an apprentice to start their career in engineering with full support.

Working week

Monday - Thursday, 07:30 - 16:30 and Friday, 07:00 - 12:00

40 hours a week

What will the apprentice be doing?

Your duties include:

  • Learning how to mill and turn on CNC and manual machinery

  • trained to use the most up to date machining equipment and trained using CAD CAM

  • Using a range of materials to manufacture components for industries including motorsport

  • Learning to use different inspection methods including CMM

Your training plan

  • Machining Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

  • You will attend Leicester College Abbey Park Campus for your training, one day per week

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4 or equivalent)

  • Maths (grade 4 or equivalent)
