Apprentice Furniture Maker - Abode Carpentry Limited

Abode Carpentry is seeking an individual with strong math skills who wants to gain insight and develop in the furniture industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn the intricacies of furniture design and craftsmanship while working alongside experienced professionals.

Working week

Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Hours will be confirmed.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties include:

• Supporting current employees to create high-quality furniture

• Maintain cleanliness of the workshop

• Attend college where relevant and complete all work

• Join staff on-site to assist with installing items

• Maintaining tools and equipment

• Assist in general workshop duties

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. This successful apprentice will work with the team at the workplace for four / five days each week and three days every two weeks they will attend Leicester College at Freemen's Park Campus

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

• English (grade 2 or equivalent and above)

• Maths (grade 2 or equivalent and above)

It is essential applicants have maths, please ensure to include this in your application.
